This is a FREE event and open to women at every stage of motherhood (and their families)! During this event you will be able to connect with: doulas and lactation services, birth and newborn education,
safe sleeping workshops,
mental and physical health information,

Black Mamas Community Wellness Day
This Saturday, August 12, 2023, from 10am-1pm, at Bard High School Early College (1351 Alabama Ave SE), Councilmember Christina Henderson and the Arika Trim Foundation will host the Black Mamas Community Wellness Day. Come take advantage of the resources from several community and local organizations, including Mamatoto Village, District MotherHued, PAVE, Mary’s Center, GW Hospital, The Department of Parks and Recreation, Office of the Tenant Advocate, the Black Nurses Collaborative, and more. DC Health will have a mobile vaccination station with licensed nurses who will provide necessary routine shots for school-aged children, as well as blood pressure checks, refreshments, goodie bags, backpack giveaways, lactation consultation and support, and even prenatal yoga! Bring the entire family out!
